When I was a little kid I remember there being a lot of bees in our yard during the summer months. I imagine the clover probably attracted them.

You had to be careful where you stepped or it might result in the inevitable. For the most part is wasn't really an issue, we knew they were there and so we just sort of worked our way around them.

Maybe it was the location or maybe it's due to the drastic decline in population but I can't remember the last time I saw an actual honey bee. For that matter I can't remember seeing a lawn with clover in it either.

I miss the slower pace of those simpler days and I miss all the bees that used to come to our little yard.
