Long Week, With Little Progress on the LED Lighting Project.

It’s been a long week with little progress on the new project, other than hours of research, that is. It seems I am hardly any closer to a solution than I was last week. That’s the way things go sometimes. As ironic as it may sound, patience can be frustrating, but I haven’t given up. I've ruled out a lot of potential solutions, but I haven't found exactly what will work just yet. Not a total waste of time. I have more working knowledge of LED-lighting than most at this point. So I guess that's a good thing. Sometimes learning what won’t work is just as important as learning what will.

In the meantime, I’ve selected a trial piece for the LED Lighting Project.
Meet Chippy. Chippy has been a crash test dummy of sorts for all sorts of experiments. He was the first to try a more illustrative approach by adding colored pencil. He has also been a test pilot for finishes and has spent months in all kinds of temperatures.
Chippy started as a Procreate sketch and grew from there. Sadly the original illustration was lost when an external drive died (in case you're wondering it was a WD Easystore 4tb drive that lasted three miserable months before unexplainably kicking the bucket, but that's a story for another time).
Chippy's 3D form originated from the scrap heap collection and has become a favorite for testing only because he checks so many boxes. He’s small, manageable, and fun to work with. In fact, he has become the life of the party, and if this experiment works, I've promised him his days of crash test dummying are over. He will finally be able to retire and find his permanent place on the coveted and most prestigious office wall. It is a huge promotion from his garage storage position to the office wall, but hey, he's earned it. One last test, Chippy, one last test.

Which reminds me, now that the weather is finally beginning its long, slow, painful transition from winter to spring, it’s time to clean that disaster area. When I tell you the garage practically qualifies as a superfund site, that is a vast understatement. I just need to keep reminding myself:
Small, consistent steps, over time, move the needle.
That's it for today, Readers. Short and sweet. See you next time.
